What is brand strategy?+

Brand strategy is the deliberate choice of who a brand is for, what it stands for, and how it wins against alternatives — expressed as positioning, narrative and messaging the whole company can execute against.

How is brand strategy different from brand identity?+

Strategy decides what you say and why. Identity decides how you look and sound. Identity without strategy is decoration; strategy without identity is a slide deck.

Do I need brand strategy if I already have a logo?+

Yes. Most brand identity work under-performs because the underlying strategy was assumed, not defined. A logo is easy to change; a bad position is expensive to unwind.
